But it turns out, the senior actress has opted not to be a part of the project and the reason behind the same is unknown for now.

With Nayanthara backing out, the makers had to zero in on another senior actress to reprise Manju Warrier's role in the remake.
The latest we hear is that Trisha has been roped in for the film and she will be replacing Nayanthara in the Chiranjeevi starrer.
Trisha liked her character and the script and gave her nod almost immediately. She has also signed the dotted line.
Incidentally, Trisha was supposed to play the female lead in Chiranjeevi's ongoing project, Acharya but she walked out just ahead of the shoot. Now, she is set to share the screen space with Chiranjeevi in the Lucifer remake.
The Mohan Raja directorial will be hitting the floors next month and the lead cast will be joining the sets in the first schedule.
