If reports are to go by, Nani’s Tuck Jagadish and Nithiin’s Maestro might be premiering on Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar on the same day. Apparently, both these films might be premiering on the respective platforms on 10th September, marking the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi.
Nani’s Tuck Jagadish is billed to be a family entertainer and is better suited for festival release. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana and it is carrying positive reports. The action-drama stars Nani, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma and others are in important roles.
AS for Nithiin’s Maestro, the film is a remake of Andhadhun. The Merlapaka Gandhi directorial features Nithiin, Tamannaah, and Nabha Natesh in the lead roles. It predominantly caters to digital audiences, given its theme.
There are reports claiming that Tuck Jagadish’s direct to digital rights were acquired by Amazon Prime Video for a whopping amount of Rs 37 crores. The OTT deal of Nithiin’s Maestro is said to be in the range of Rs 30 crores. The stakes are high in both these films.
Venkatesh’s Drushyam 2 is also in line for direct to digital release. The film will be premiering on Disney+ Hotstar sooner than later. The premieres date will be officially announced in a month or so from now.
