Team Uppena is currently in the headlines. Since the makers have the final copy on their hands, a lot of digital streaming platforms are approaching them with fancy deals. Uppena marks the debut of Mega hero Vaishnav Tej Panja as the lead. Krithi Shetty is the heroine who makes her debut with the movie. Vaishnav Tej is Sai Dharam Tej's younger brother and younger nephew of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Buchi Babu Sana is the director of Uppena.
Uppena was supposed to hit the screens in the first week of April but it got postponed because of the lockdown period. Amazon prime video already approached the team with a stunning deal but the makers rejected it. Chiranjeevi asked the team not to worry about the delays and filled confidence in them. He also prepared them mentally to wait and release the film in theatres alone.
The team is also showing no interest to see their movie skipping a theatrical release. Already, the songs that came out impressed everyone. The film unit is enjoying a good craze too. If everything goes well, the film will release in August, if theatres get re-opened.
