Urvashi Rautela has been trending these days on the internet for her plagiarism controversy. The actress, who tried to tweet about the Oscar-winning film Parasite, apparently copied a US writer's tweet. Her tweet was every bit the same as the author's tweet which made him share the screenshot of it. However, Urvashi's spokesperson opened up about the controversy to a leading daily. He defended the actress by saying that she did not tweet it but instead her social media team did it.
"It was done by her social media team, and Urvashi was completely unaware of it, and after we came across it, we took the necessary steps. Apology for the inconvenience, ” said the spokesperson.
The tweet which led to this controversy read something like this. “ One thing I really love about @ParasiteMovie is that rather than depict the fam as scammers pretending to be good at their jobs, they actually do their jobs flawlessly! what they lack skill, but institutional stamps of approval & the bows and ribbons that rich people love.”
As soon as Urvashi tweeted about it, the US author JP Brammer shared the screenshot of her tweet. Even though he did not get furious about it he did question her skills of not even correcting his grammatical errors. "I’m rooting for her. Why didn’t she at least correct the grammar um my bad grammar?? is part of the vibe??? wow, " he wrote. This is not the first time that Urvashi has copied a tweet. Even before this, the actress has copied the tweets of other celebrities.
