The outbreak of coronavirus is severely affecting the Telugu movie industry. Films made across the world are postponing their releases indefinitely. Now, the upcoming big release of Tollywood, V, also postponed its release. The makers said that as of now, they are planning to release the movie in April, but an official announcement will be made in the coming days.
The film's production house, Sri Venkateshwara Creations, tweeted, "V- The Movie has been a very exciting journey for all of us. From the conception to the execution, we have had a great time and were really looking forward to bringing this labour of love to you."
"However, the recent outbreak of the coronavirus(COVID-19) has made us think about our responsibility to keep the health and safety of the public in mind. We have decided to postpone the film at the moment with the intention of releasing the film in the month of April 2020. Until then, let the excitement continue and we promise you it will be worth the wait. Keep yourself safe meanwhile," it further added.
This is a big disappointment for the fans, as they wanted to celebrate Nani's film for the Telugu new year, Ugadi, and unfortunately, it is not happening. Until then, we can only wait for the new release date.
V features Nani and Sudheer Babu in the lead roles. Directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti, the film features Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari as the female leads. Amit Trivedi has composed the songs while Thaman has composed background music for it.
