Vamshi Paidipally's Interesting Response To Varisu Trolls
Director Vamshi Paidipally made his Kollywood entry with Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu, which was released for Sankranthi this year. The film is being heavily trolled, and Vamshi has an interesting answer for that.
Director Vamshi Paidipally directed Superstar Mahesh Babu in Maharshi previously. After that, the director hasn't directed a movie, until his latest, Varisu. Varisu features Tamil actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the lead role and marks Vamshi's direct entry into the Tamil industry. Dil Raju produced the movie, making his Tamil debut as well.
Varisu was released in Telugu as Vaarasudu. While the Tamil version has been received well by the audience, and the film continues to be strong at the box office, the Telugu version has pretty much sunk. In fact, the Telugu version of the film is being heavily trolled online. The film is being called a copycat of various other films, and also a serial. Director Vamshi Paidipally has now responded to these trolls.
Vamshi called out the trolls and said that it is sad to see that no one is seeing the hard work that went into the making of Varisu. He also called them out for belittling serials, and the lack of respect that is being given to serials. Vamshi said that even serials are creative content that needs to be respected. Vamshi said that serials entertain crores of people every night.
On the other hand, Varisu features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady. The involvement of Rashmika also became a point of debate for many, as the actress wasn't seen much in the film, and was only present for the songs. The film also features an ensemble cast that includes Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Shaam and Prakash Raj.
