Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, and Jacqueline Fernandez starred in the buddy cop action film Dishoom in 2016. The film helmed by Rohit Dhawan was a massive hit at the box office. The film grossed over Rs 150 crores on a Rs 45 crores budget. The audiences loved Varun Dhawan and John Abraham on-screen chemistry as buddy cops. The film completes 4 years today. Varun took to his social media to celebrate the occasion!
Varun Dhawan shared a few photos of him posing with co-star John Abraham. The two are sporting orange trunks beachside. Varun took to the caption to pen an emotional note.
Varun wrote, “#4yearsofdishoom This was one of the best teams I worked with . 2 of my elder brothers always had my back. Maybe its time to get the band back together. Also John ate 21 watermelons in one day while filming in the desert.”
Varun spoke of how John would eat 21 watermelons on the set while shooting in the desert!! Shilpa Shetty was quick to drop in a comment that read “Omg! 21 watermelons ”
The female lead, Jacqueline Fernandez shared a throwback video from the film as well.
Rumour has it Varun and director Rohit Dhawan might team up for a sequel. Last year, there was a strong buzz of a sequel to the buddy cop flick. Sources say Varun's brother Rohit Dhawan has already come up with the script for the film. Sources also say Varun has given the green light for the sequel. Varun's post about how 'it's time to get the band back together' might just be the confirmation that we need!
Meanwhile, John Abraham is looking forward to appearing in the films Satyameva Jayate 2, Attack, and Mumbai Saga. Varun, on the other hand, has Coolie No 1 and Mr. Lele in his kitty.
