It is already known that Daggubati Venkatesh is doing the Telugu remake of recent Tamil blockbuster Asuran. The shooting of this film begins today. On this occasion, the makers have announced the title and also revealed a few first look posters of the film last night.
The movie got titled as Narappa and a bunch of posters was out in which Venkatesh is sporting a rural farmer getup. His look is quite similar to the one of Dhanush in the original. But Venkatesh brought a new dimension to it with an intense body language and ferocious eyes. The audience is quite impressed with these posters and thus, Narappa has created expectations right from day one of its shoots.
According to the sources, Priyamani is playing the female lead in this movie. Srikanth Addala is helming this intense drama. It is being produced jointly by D. Suresh Babu and Kalaipuli S. Thanu. Mani Sharma is composing the music for this film. Narappa will be the story of a farmer and his family who get stuck in the caste politics of a village. The story is set the backdrop of Rayalaseema region.
The original version Asuran featured Dhanush and Maju Warrier in the lead roles. Vetrimaaran has directed that film.
