Venkatesh is all set to star in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Drishyam 2 starring Mohanlal. Yesterday, Drushyam 2 was officially launched with a pooja. Venkatesh took to his social media to share three photos from yesterday's launch.
The first photo is that of the clapperboard that has the name of the film. The other two photos are from the pooja. The cast and crew are wearing protective gear to stay safe and avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Mohanlal's Drishyam 2 premiered on Amazon Prime on February 19th. The film has garnered much praise from the audiences and critics. The Telugu remake was finally announced following the film's success. Jeethu Joseph is directing the film. He took to his social media yesterday to announce that Drushyam 2 is all set to go on floors on March 5. Jeethu Joseph wrote, "Telugu Drishyam 2 starts rolling on March 5th in Hyderabad," along with a photo from the launch pooja.
Sripriya had directed the first part of the franchise. With a new director, the audience is quite excited to see how the second part turns out.
Apart from Venkatesh, Durshyam Meena, Nadhiya, Kruthika Jayakumar and Esther Anil in important roles. Sources say the same cast will remain the same for the second part. An official announcement is yet to arrive.
Drushyam was one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of 2014. So, it's safe to say that the expectations are quite high for the second part.
On the work front, Venkatesh is looking forward to the release of Narappa on May 14th. Narappa is the remake of Vetrimaaran's Asuran starring Dhanush. Srikanth Addala is the director and Suresh Babu is the producer. The film stars Priyamani as well. Venkatesh also has Anil Ravipudi's F3 in his kitty.
