Venkatesh’s Narappa gets postponed

Venkatesh and Priyamani are playing the lead roles in the Telugu flick Narappa, which was slated for release on May 14th. But keeping the current scenario in mind, the makers of the film have decided to postpone the release of the film. The film is directed by Srikanth Addala.

The makers released an official press release which says, “ Narappa is a film that we have made with a lot of dedication and hard work, and your love towards the film has been overwhelming. However, we are all going through a turbulent time during this unprecedented global pandemic, and hence, keeping in the mind the health and safety of our beloved audience, the theatrical release of the film has been postponed.” (sic) Also, actor Venkatesh took to his Twitter to announce the same and wrote, “In lieu of the pandemic, #Narappa will not be releasing on May 14th. A new theatrical date will be announced once we overcome this unprecedented crisis. Stay safe ! #NarappaPostponed #Priyamani @KarthikRathnam3 #SrikanthAddala #ManiSharma @SureshProdns @theVcreations.” (sic) Narappa is the official Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster film Asuran which has Dhanush and Manju Warrier in the lead roles. The film received critical acclaim and had become one of the biggest hits in the Tamil film industry.
