Sonu Sood has become a nationwide sensation for something other than his acting in the last one month. The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic which left many stranded away from their families found help from the Dabbang actor. Over the last couple of weeks the actor has arranged transport and food for thousands of migrant workers to ensure that they reach home safely. However, it looks like Sonu Sood has not stopped after helping migrant workers alone. In a recent interview with DNA actor Surendra Rajan has revealed that he has received help from Sonu Sood as he is stuck and stranded in Mumbai.
The veteran actor is known best for his brief but iconic role in the Sanjay Dutt starrer Munnabhai, MBBS. Speaking with DNA Surendra Rajan has thanked Sonu Sood for his help and called his work amazing. He added saying, "Sonu Sood’s work is amazing and I am surprised that a man is working like this. One cannot do this unless he has a tremendous will to help people from within. He is doing extraordinary work and people like Sonu Sood are rare."
Sonu Sood recently also started a helpline number for Migrant workers in Mumbai. Speaking to PTI Sood revealed that he wanted to reach out with help to as many people as possible. He further said, "I was getting a lot of calls... thousands of calls everyday. My family and friends were busy collecting the data then we realised we might miss out on a lot of people who we will not be able to approach us. So we decided to open this call centre, it is a toll free number."
