‘Veteran actress' narrow escape from the Sri Lankan attacks
Veteran South-Indian actress Radhika Sarath Kumar had a narrow escape from the cruel and craven attacks in SriLanka. The actress took to her official account to share the shocking news with her fans and followers. She said that the blast took place just a short while after she vacated her room and left the Cinnamon hotel in Colombo. “OMG bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, god be with all. I just left Colombo Cinnamongrand hotel and it has been bombed, can’t believe this shocking,” tweeted the actress.
As of now, the series of eight blasts took the lives of more than 150, including 35 foreigners, with 400 injured. The first blasts hit three churches in Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo's Kochchikade district during Easter services while the Shangri-La, Kingsbury, Cinnamon Grand and the fourth hotel in Colombo were also targeted. The suspects are the terrorists from the dreaded ISIS organisation.
All the National leaders poured out their condolences to the bereaved family members and condemned the inhuman attacks which targeted the peace and harmony of the country. President of India Ramnath Kovind and leaders of the world condemned the tragedy.
