Hyderabad Bangalee Samity is best known for its cultural programs of the Bengali community in the twin cities. Now, the committee is organizing a film festival called, "Telangana Bengali Film Festival AAYNA 2019."
A total of eight films under two sections, popular and retrospective, will get showcased over the span of these three days, starting from today. All these movies will get screened in Prasads Labs, located in Banjara Hills. On the first day, there are two films which grabbed our attention.
They are Nirbaan and Rajlokkhi O Srikanto. Nirbaan's show starts is at 12.20 in the afternoon today and the latter will get screened at 12.40 pm. Directed by Gautham Haldar, Nirbaan is based on the novel Bijoalar Mukhti, written by Moti Nandi. Veteran Bollywood actress Rakhi Gulzar played the lead role in it. The film revolves around her character and beautifully showcases the relationship values, existential crisis, and religious taboo.
On the flip side, Rajlokkhi, directed by Pradipta Bhattacharyya deals with the story of a middle-aged man, who has a history of shifting various jobs as he doesn't like any of them.
