Vetrimaaran, the acclaimed filmmaker who has worked with Dhanush on multiple occasions, has confirmed that he will team up with Jr NTR for an upcoming project. In an interaction with the media, Vetrimaaran clarified that he is not collaborating with Jr NTR for his star value. He said he is doing so for the content that demands his presence. He said “Collaboration will make sense to me and I will not collaborate just for the star value or the combination value. I will only collaborate for a content that will demand a star like him. So that much I can say,” Vetrimaaran said.
Fans have expressed their excitement about the collaboration. One person referred to it as “an epic collaboration”.
Vetrimaaran also confirmed that he had met Jr NTR to pitch a story idea. But, the project would take time to take off as both of them are currently occupied with their respective assignments.
Jr NTR is presently busy shooting for his untitled Telugu film with Koratala Siva. The film marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor. The film is set to release later this year. In the meantime, Vetrimaaran is expected to start work on his next project Vaadivasal, which stars Suriya.
