Vicky Kaushal Wraps Up 'Sam Bahadur' First Schedule

Vicky Kaushal, a Bollywood celebrity, announced on Tuesday that he has completed filming for the first session of his next film "Sam Bahadur." Meghna Gulzar directed the film, which is based on the life and times of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of India's greatest combat heroes. The film started production in August.

Vicky, who plays the lead character in "Sam Bahadur," shared the news on Instagram.

the 34-year-old actor captioned a series of photos from the film sets. Sanya Malhotra plays Manekshaw's wife Silloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The script for "Sam Bahadur" was written by noted writer Bhavani Iyer, Meghna's father Gulzar, and Shantanu Srivastava of "Badhaai Ho!" fame. Gulzar is also a lyricist in the film, with music by the renowned group Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy. "Sam Bahadur" reunites Vicky and Meghna after their superhit spy drama "Raazi," which starred Alia Bhatt in 2018.
