This craze is now making him do his next project Fighter as a pan-Indian film.
Meanwhile, another important film of Vijay in the recent past is Dear Comrade. Even though the film was a flop at the box-office, it gained a cult following among a few sections of the audience. Recently, it got dubbed into Hindi and this version got uploaded on Goldmines Telefilms, a couple of days back. In less than 48 hours of the upload, the film clocked around 16.7 million views on Youtube.
That proves the stardom of Vijay in the northern circuit. Dear Comrade is the story of a student leader called Bobby who falls in love with cricketer Lilly. Directed by Bharat Kamma, this movie features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The film had a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Popular director-producer Karan Johar announced that he will remake it in Hindi but we didn't hear anything about it till now.
