Vijay Deverakonda to don the role of this yesteryear superstar?

Vijay Deverakonda is currently the most happening hero not only in South India but in the entire Indian entertainment arena. The success of Arjun Reddy has made him a pan-Indian star in no time. The actor also got featured in a recent roundtable discussion, along with the likes of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt.

Now, he is in talks to play a cameo appearance in Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film Thalaivi. Directed by AL Vijay, Thalaivi is being made on the life of former actress and Tamil Nadu's ex-Chief Minister, Jayalalitha. The film got titled Jaya in Hindi. It will have a simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Apparently, the makers have approached Vijay offering him to play the role of actor Sobhan Babu, in this film. Sobhan Babu and Jayalalitha acted in many films together. Moreover, their personal equation used to make headlines in the media during those days. Any which way, Sobhan Babu played a major role in Jaya's life. Thus, the team of Thalaivi decided to include his character in the film. As Vijay has pan-Indian popularity, the makers thought that he is the right option. Currently, the talks are going on and the actor is yet to sign the dotted lines. Vishnu Induri is bankrolling Thalaivi in all the languages.
