Vijay Deverakonda's Kushi With Samantha In Deep Trouble

Vijay Deverakonda's film with director Shiva Nirvana, Kushi, has been carrying good expectations on it since its announcement. The film was even shot to an extent, and was speculated to be released for Christmas 2022. However, the film had to be stalled suddenly due to Samantha's Myositis. Samantha is the leading lady of the film, and even shot for most of her scenes. Due to the illness, she hasn't been able to go back to sets.

The actress recently started getting back to work, having recently joined Varun Dhawan's Citadel. She is also promoting her upcoming film Shaakuntalam. It is also being said that she would rejoin the sets of Kushi from March first week. However, if the actress fails to do so, then director Shiva is said to have decided to move on to his next project. Shiva's last project was Tuck Jagdish, which was a huge disappointment as well, from which he is trying to recover. This would be a bummer for Vijay, who is currently looking to bounce back from Liger, which ended up a huge disaster. While there were good expectations on Liger, it turned out to be the worst film of Vijay's career so far. If Kushi indeed has to be put on the backburner, then it is expected that Vijay would shift his focus to director Gowtam Tinnanuri's film. The film was announced recently, with Vijay set to play a police officer in the movie. Much details about the film are not known, but there are already decent expectations on the film.
