He was one of the actors who graced the event of Ungal Naan, which celebrated Kamal Haasan’s 60 years in cinema. Speaking at the event, he showered praises on Kamal Haasan and said that he is the pride of Tamil and Indian cinema.
Along with his speech, Vijay Sethupathi also revealed shocking information. He said that he got an offer to play an important role in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. However, he couldn’t take it up due to multiple reasons. Sethupathi apologized to him and did the unthinkable.
He also requested Kamal Haasan to give him one more opportunity to act alongside him. As per rumors, they chose Vijay Sethupathi to play the antagonist role which had earlier offered to Ajay Devgn. Since both the actors turned down the film, they chose Anil Kapoor as the replacement.
