The coronavirus pandemic is spreading like a wildfire across the world. People are being advised to stay at home and not come out unless if it is an emergency. Even in India, the lockdown extended till the 3rd of May. Lockdown has severely affected the people who depend on a daily wage. The film industry is one of the industries which has a lot of daily wage workers. Now, all of them have no income source. To help them, the film industry big wigs are helping their bit. Now, actor Vishal has also joined that list. He has donated groceries for a month to the 1500 members of the Nadigar Sangam.
Vishal is also president of the Nadigar Sangam. As the leader of the actor's association, Vishal has taken this step to come forward and help the actors in need. As a part of this initiative, 1500 actors, who are part of Nadigar Sangam, will get provided with groceries that are sufficient for a month. Vishal is not the only Tamil actor to donate for the cause. Actors like Ajith, Vijay Sethupathi, Rajinikanth, Nayanthara and Raghava Lawrence have also done their bit to help the poor and daily wage workers of the Tamil film industry.
On the career front, Vishal was last seen in 2019 film Action. Directed by Sundar C, this film featured Tamannaah as the female lead. Meanwhile, Vishal is now making his directorial debut with the film Thupparivalan 2. The film is being expected to hit the screens by the end of this year.
