VJ Chitra's husband Hemanath gets bail

Two months ago, popular television actress VJ Chitra died by suicide. She was found hanging in her hotel room at Nazrathpet in Chennai. Soon after her suicide, her husband Hemnath has been arrested by the police officers. He has been arrested in the abetment to suicide. Chitra's husband Hemanath stayed with her on the night she committed suicide. They had a nasty fight that night because of which Chitra took the extreme step to kill herself by hanging from the ceiling. Many felt that Hemanath shouldn't be granted bail in the suicide case.

In his bail petition, Hemanath claimed that he has no connection with his wife VJ Chitra's suicide case. He also mentioned that no FIR has been filed against him even after 60 days of his arrest. The Madras High Court heard the petition and has granted conditional bail to Hemanath. Once the legal formalities are completed, he will be out on bail in a few days.
