Director Atlee teamed up with leading actor Vijay for the first time in Theri. The film turned out to be a blockbuster because of which the actor continued his collaboration with the Raja Rai director.
Till now, Atlee and Vijay had teamed up thrice for the films Theri, Mersal and Bigil. All three films emerged as magnum opus thereby increasing the market value of Atlee and Vijay. Now, there are rumors that the two are planning to join hands for the fourth time.
During the shooting of Bigil early this year, Atlee and Vijay had a conversation about teaming up for a film. Even at the audio launch of Bigil, Atlee said that he would do a film with his 'anna' any day.
While there are rumors that Atlee will do a film with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, his team is not denying a possible collaboration with Vijay once again. We will have to wait and see if it will be for Thalapathy 65 of Thalapathy 66. Vijay is presently shooting for his upcoming film, Thalapathy 64 with Lokesh Kanagaraj.
