Thalapathy Vijay's Master is one of 2020's most awaited film. The action thriller film was to hit the theatres on April 9th, 2020. However, the release date now stands postponed owing to the coronavirus outbreak. Now Tollywood is buzzing with rumors of the future release date. According to some sources, the film will hit the theatres on Vijay's birthday, the 22nd of June. On the other hand, there are also rumors of a Diwali release.
Due to the coronavirus lockdown, the film could not have a theatrical release on April 9th. The makers, however, released a new poster for the film. The director Lokesh Kanagaraj has also said the information about a new release date will arrive soon. The latest news is that the release date is not set in stone. An official announcement is yet to arrive. It looks like the film will hit the theatres once things go back to normal.

Andrea Jeremiah, and Ramya Subramanian. Xavier Britto is producing the film. Musicians Anirudh Ravichander is composing the film's score. The film's first single 'Kutti Story' was released in February 2020. The technical team includes Sathyam Sooryan as the cinematographer and Philomin Raj as the editor. The film will also be released in Telugu and Kannada.
