The film was announced quite some time ago. The teaser of the film has also been released. Nayantara is the leading lady of this film, in which Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as the primary antagonist. Priyamani will also be seen in a key role in the movie. Bunny has been approached for a key cameo as well, and it is to be seen if he will give his approval. This is considering that he is currently on his way to making his own mark in the Indian film industry.

The actor is currently busy shooting the second part of Pushpa, Pushpa: The Rule. The actor took place in a song sequence shoot that took place in Vizag recently, where he shot with several extras for ten days. Sukumar is the director of the Pushpa franchise, in which Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady. Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil made his Tollywood debut with the film. He was seen in a brief role in Pushpa 1 and will be the primary antagonist in the second part. The second part will also feature other primary characters from the first part, played by Sunil, Anasuya, and others.
