Later, she got roped in for Vijay Deverakonda's Hero but the film got shelved due to budget issues. Now, she is acting alongside Thalapathy Vijay in his upcoming film Master.

According to the latest sources, Malavika is in consideration for the female lead role in Suriya's upcoming film in the direction of Hari.
