YSR fans celebrate one year of Yatra movie

This is the age of biopics. We have seen many films that got made and are being made on various people. Some of them are the stores of eminent personalities while some of them are about unsung heroes. Whatever it might be, if the film gets executed well, the audience receives it well and if not, they don't even care to go watch it. Thus, making biopics is also a big gamble for the filmmakers.

Director Mahi V Raghav took that risk by deciding to make the biopic of former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Dr. YS Rajashekhar Reddy. The film deals with the famous Padayatra movement done by the great leader. Starring Mammootty in the lead role, this film released amidst a lot of expectations and also lived up to them. Mahi executed it very well by not touching upon a few controversial issues.

Yatra had hit the screens on February 8th, 2019. It celebrates the one year anniversary of the release today. On this occasion, director Mahi V Raghav has shared his happiness by tweeting, 'Ever grateful to YSR Garu for choosing me to tell his story, @mammukkasir for making the role come alive, to the producers @VijayChilla@devireddyshashi@ShivaMeka & to the rest of the cast & crew @sathyaDP@K_RiverRecords@sreekar_prasad@70mmEntertains #ramakrishna #yatra.'
