Allu Arjun is back in action as ‘Army Officer’ for ‘ Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India’. The film marks the debut of the famous writer Vakkantham Vamsi and Anu Emmanuel playing the female lead.
Surya(Allu Arjun) is a soldier in the Army who is short-tempered, for which he gets suspended and He is given an ultimatum that if he needs his job back, he has to get a certificate from India’s best Psychiatrist which is played by Action King Arjun. Rest of the story deals with What challenges Surya face to tame his temper and outbursts.
Right from word go it’s a Allu Arjun show all the way with his intensity in action and screen presence looming large, perfectly fitting to the role of Army Officer. First half of film is gripping, staying true to it’s content without much deviations, director has brilliantly dealt the subject with top notch writing. The conflict point between Allu Arjun and Action King Arjun is presented beautifully and can be touted as one of the major highlights of first half.
Later half of the movie fizzles out especially after hopeful beginning, director chooses the formula backdrop to entertain the masses. The main USP of this film is highlighting the Characterization of Surya which lacks the punch. Character doesn't mean talking out loud and saying that I have a character. Director got carried away where he couldn’t write it that way and expand. And, not surprising then that there is a fair sprinkle of patriotic one-liners, too. However, the screenplay often loses focus in second half, slackening the film’s pace and our attention.
The film is visually good in parts and Allu Arjun Plays Surya role with strong confidence and Action part is packed With Punch. Like most of His films, Arjun showcases his agility in dancing, in “Lover Also fighter Also" song And all this was happening with oodles of swag and style. (Obviously!).
Among the list of stalwart Supporting actors like Boman Irani,Rao Ramesh. Arjun delivers a dependable performance. Anu Emanuel as female lead is decent.
With such a premise, the storyline needed to be more compelling but at the same time, there are many proud moments in the movie that will leave Audience impressed on a whole. The best part of the movie is that the director tried his best to not deviate himself from the main core point of content.
Mostly staying with the core point of content “Na Peru surya” ‘doesn’t’ fall in the list of most Telugu commercial films that suffer from predictability and don’t quite work wholesomely. On a whole “Na Peru Surya Na illu India” is worth spending your time and you won’t be disappointed.
