Salman Khan delivers yet another loud, pointless and second-rate film with Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai

Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai Review:

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is the sequel to the 2009 blockbuster, Wanted. Just like any other sequel, the plot of Radhe picks up from where Wanted ended, and the character of Salman Khan (Radhe or Rajveer Shikawat) soon makes his entry, which is nothing short of defying logic and science.

Radhe, an encounter expert, is called by the police to the city of Mumbai in order to clean up the rising menace caused by the drug dealers and mafias. And to none of our surprise, Salman Khan single-handedly manages to do it all. He kills a rapist in the morning in order to protect 'Aurat-zaat', only to awkwardly stare at Disha Patani's legs later in the day. Hypocrisy much?

Randeep Hooda plays Rana in the film, a supposedly dangerous drug lord who's behind the outbreak of deaths and addiction in the city, and who's obviously the villain, who's obviously supposed to lock horns with the superhero of the film, who's obviously none other than -Radhe. So, no surprises here!

On the other hand, Disha Patani plays the role of an aspiring model named Dia, who misunderstands Radhe's identity, only to later on add a 'love-angle' to the film. No surprises here either! Just like most Bollywood films, Disha's character is there to spice things up between the hero and the villain, assist the hero in the dance numbers and then later on give him something to protect and win at the end of it all.

Moving on, the character of Jackie Shroff who plays a police commissioner and the elder brother of Disha Patani's character, is throughout seen trying too hard to add some comic scenes to the film however, fails miserably. Though there was much scope to utilise his role in better ways, but guess it's too late now.

The film which alleges itself to be a remake of the popular South Korean film The Outlaws, has only picked up some bad-action sequences and added its own sleazy storyline to it. It mostly seems like a messed-up version of earlier Salman Khan's films like Dabangg, Tere Naam, and Race 3. Dance numbers are thrown in, like the director Prabhudeva, wants back your attention from the otherwise utterly banal storyline which can easily put anyone to sleep. This was the third collaboration of Prabhudeva and Salman Khan after Dabangg 3 and Race 3, and hopefully, the last one. For someone like Prabhu, who's known as a dancing brilliance all over India, directing films is certainly not his cup of tea.

What do we say about the acting, Salman Khan seemed to have put no extra efforts for his role which he has played a gazillion times earlier. As for Disha, she again plays a role where there isn't much to prove and judge. Randeep Hooda, who looked promising with his pony-tail and leather jacket in the trailer, resorted to a typical-villainish acting and it seemed he hasn't come out of his character of Extraction yet. Others are equally average for a film where crashing up and burning of helicopters and vehicles have got better screen time than actors.

Coming on to the dialogues like "Ab koi aage badha, uske bladder jagah fefda hoga aur liver ke jagah kidney hoga", "Police ki naukri hai, giraftaar to karna padega. Mujrim hu jaan se maarna padega” and for the 100th time making a re-entry, "Ek baar jo maine commitment kardi uske baad toh mai apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta". But here's something to make your Eid special and which should be the only good takeaway from the film, "Radhe jaane ke liye nahi bhejne ke liye aaye hai, aur tere hisse ki biriyani hum sab mil baat kar khaayenge aur bolenge Eid Mubarak”.

Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai Review - Verdict:

On the whole, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is definitely not one of the most wanted Salman Khan films but if you're someone who heavily relies on typical masala films and action scenes, there might be something in store for you.
