1000 farmers to contest against TRS Nizamabad sitting MP Kavitha
In a protest against the Telangana government, 1000 farmers in the State has decided to contest against the TRS Nizamabad sitting MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha. All these 1000 farmers from Nizamabad have taken this decision to contest in the election as the government failed to give minimum support price for their Turmeric and Red Jowar crop.
On this note, the Lok Sabha election here is going to turn interesting as it is the first time in the history of elections. Upset with the government, the farmers recently called for a meeting in which they came to a decision to field 1000 farmers for the Nizamabad MP seat. They will also file nomination very soon.
Though this scenario doesn’t affect the winning changes of Kavitha, it would obviously reduce the majority which would benefit the oppositions. Meanwhile, the Election Commission might step in to scrutinize the nominations and approve them if appropriate. Telangana government is yet to respond on this and everyone is curious to know how Kavita would react to this.
