174 Nizamabad farmers to contest against Narendra Modi & Rahul Gandhi
Not many days after K. Kavitha, MP candidate from Nizamabad LS constituency faced heat from the native Turmeric farmers, they are all set to face PM Narendra Modi now. The 174 farmers who have filed nominations for Nizamabad LS constituency in the first phase of Telangana polls have decided to take the issue on the national front.
Protesting the low remunerative price for what they are producing, farmers in the past announced they would also contest on PM Narendra Modi in Varanasi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. Firstly the media didn’t take this on a serious note, but it seems like the farmers are on a serious note to file the nominations against the Prime Minister in Varanasi. “We would like to raise our voices on the national level increasing the intensity of the protest,” said one of the farmers.
It's known that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently filed his nomination from this constituency in Uttar Pradesh. On this note, the farmers from Armoor, Balkonda and Nizamabad rural have decided to go to Varanasi and file their nomination as independent candidates.
