32-year-old Hyderabadi Dentist killed in a car crash in Chicago, US
India lost another son in a car crash in the US. As reported by the Illinois State Police, two cars crashed in the late hours of Thursday while one of them is travelling in the wrong way on the Veterans Memorial Tollway. The crash reportedly had two people died while the other three were left with life-threatening injuries. One of the dead is identified as Arshad Mohammed who hails from Vikarabad, Telangana district.
The driver of the blue Volkswagen that was travelling the wrong way was identified as 36-year-old Robert Velazco of Hammond, who was also killed in the accident. The official has informed that the incident also recorded the crash of a white Ford box truck and a silver Subaru and people in these vehicles succumbed to injuries who are stable now.
A 32-year-old Indian Dentist was a current resident of orthodontics at UIC seeking an advanced certificate in orthodontics and a Master's of Science in oral sciences at the Illinois University along with his sister. His family lives in the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board Colony, Vikarabad. Currently, his family is on way to Chicago to pay Mohammed's last rites.
Arshad has received the American Institute of Orthodontics Award and Dr Alan C. Peterson Scholarship Award. “Arshad Mohammed is said to be one of the very few dentists who are passionate for dentistry with patience and attention,” read the condolence message on UIC website. The UIC orthodontics school was closed on Friday in the wake of Dr Mohammed's death.
