For the past few days, record levels of Rainfall experienced by several parts of the country. The clouds continue to pour which is causing severe damage to lives and properties. The MeT department has predicted heavy rainfall till September 30. Patna district administration has ordered the closure of all schools till October 2.
At least 73 people have died in four days in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has sounding a red alert in several districts where incessant rainfall has thrown life out of gear. An alert has issued in Bihar where rainfall caused waterlogging in streets of Patna and other areas. The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in both states.
47 people died across the state on Thursday and Friday. Schools in Lucknow, Amethi, and Hardoi remained shut on Friday and Saturday due to heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, Adityanath asked the officials to visit the areas which have affected by rains and floods.
Furthermore, he directed officials to extend the monetary help of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed. And also treatment for the injured should be given.
