‘Advantage MODI’ with Surgical Strike 2!
National Political Parties saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the assault to his political advantage in words and the ocular. Modi addressed a Pre-Scheduled public meeting at Rajasthan’s Churu and raised a slogan, “Saugandh Mujhe is mitti ki, meain desh Nahi mitne doonga, mein desh nahi jhukne dooga.” (I pledge with a handful of the earth of my motherland, that I will never allow my country to be obliterated, I will never allow my country to Bend.)
The Air Strike came at an appropriate time for BJP when Congress and other opposition parties had begun to question the Modi’s government resolve to tackle terrorism in the wake of the Pulwama attack.
While opposition parties were sharpening their knives to take on the government over the reported ‘Intelligence Failure’ on the Pulwama Attack, Modi gave a quick reply to People of India, Pakistan Terrorists and to the opposition parties with his Air Strike.
With less than 50 days before the elections, the Air Strike may alter the outcome of elections entirely. Air Strike will change the nature of the political conversation and shape of the campaign for sure. This favours the BJP. The opposition will have to find innovative ways to wrest back the initiative.
