After TDP MP's Janasena leader to join BJP!
Looks like BJP wave is not ready to set down any soon. Even after winning in 2019 elections with a massive majority, BJP seems not to take rest for at least short period of time. Modi seems to have planned to gain victory in each and every party of the country.
In 2019 elections his majority was mainly from the Northern and Central part of the country. And for the 2024 elections, he might be looking forward to winning even in the southern part as well. After the 2019 elections rumours have been out that, BJP is trying to lure MPs from most of the regional parties. In Andhra Pradesh too such trials have been reported. And now as a result of those trials, 4 Rajya Sabha MPs from TDP have defected to BJP. Three of four MPs leaving TDP are said to be crucial persons in the TDP’s financial support.
Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh and TG Venkatesh were the funding bodies for TDP, luring which was a master stroke by BJP with Amith Shah's mark on it. Sources say that the reason behind the defection of these party members was giving their priority to their business interests. Earlier in Modi's first term as Prime Minister, there were raids performed on both Sujana Chowdary's and CM Ramesh's business and houses. As Naidu was in power then, there might have been some confidence on Naidu.
But, as Naidu himself is in problems these days, his party members are not finding any other solution than to join anything other party having power. After TDP MPs now even Janasena party member, Akula Satyanarayana also seems to join BJP. Earlier Akula Satyanarayana has defected from BJP into Janasena but now he once again will be going to BJP. Looks like Pawan staying in exile is not going to work out for Janasena to stay in politics till 2024 elections.
