AICC has stopped the state government from handing over 3,677 acres to Jindal Company

After a dent, their image at the national level, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) directed the CM H D Kumaraswamy to stop the proposal of handing 3,677 acres of land to the Jindal group in Ballari.
 
The party’s decision was conveyed to the Chief Minister. AICC Karnataka in-charge K C Venugopal also asked the CM to stop the transact as it was originally proposed by the Congress Minister K J George.
 
As per the sources, the Congress state unit was also not in support of the decision as it could have given more power to the BJP.
 
Sources also added that the BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa was organizing a day-long protest on June 14 and 15 against the governments' decision.
