Another Congress MLA hops into TRS
Seems like TRS’ ’Operation Akarsh’ is in full swing as leaders from different parties are hopping into the party. On this note, the party has welcomed yet another leader into the party from Congress which has lost the maximum of the leaders.
Congress MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, representing Kollapur assembly constituency from erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, met TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday. He also announced that he would be joining the TRS. With Beeram, the count of Congress MLAs that fled to TRS has increased to nine. Rega Kantha Rao from Pinapaka, Atram Sakku from Asifabad, B Haripriya Naik from Yellandu, Chirumarthi Lingaiah from Nakirekal, Sabita Indra Reddy from Maheshwaram, Vanama Venkateshwara Rao from Kothagudem, D Sudhir Reddy from LB Nagar and Kandala Upender Reddy from Palair are the other eight leaders.
Though T Jagga Reddy Reddy, the MLA from Sangareddy have had plans to join TRS, his daughter Jaya Reddy managed to influence him to withdraw the decision. Harshavardhan Reddy is another leader who chose to join the TRS but has however hopped into Bharatiya Janata Party last night with D K Aruna.
If the media reports are to be believed, TRS anticipates another three MLA to join TRS as the discussions are on cards.
