Australia beats India in 3rd ODI despite Kohli’s ton.
In Dhoni’s hometown, Ranchi the Indian fans tasted bitter yesterday as Australia beat India by 32 runs. Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first on the Batsman’s paradise. Aussies openers Finch and Khawaja provided a solid start for their team with 93 & 104* respectively. Even losing some quick wickets Australia managed to get past 300 with the likes of Maxwell and Stoinis. India controlled well in death overs and restricted them to 313. Kuldeep took three wickets.
In the latter half, India lost both their openers along with Rayudu cheaply for just 27 runs. Then Kohli and Dhoni stitched a god partnership until Zampa knocked over MS. Jadhav accompanied Virat for a brief period while the best in the world carried his form from Nagpur and scored consecutive ton.
After Jadhav got plumbed for a sweep Virat shifted gears and in that order gave his wicket to Zampa after hitting boundaries of previous two deliveries. Vijay Shankar’s wicket left all the hopes of Indians as Jadeja did worse than a tail-ender. Cummins, Jhye Richardson and Zampa shared 3 wickets each and Khawaja was awarded the MoM for his maiden ODI ton.
