BJP candidate accused of sexually assaulting minor in West Bengal!
West Bengal child rights body has accused BJP's Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha candidate Nilanjan Roy of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl and filed a case against him.
According to the child rights body, Roy was allegedly involved in molesting a 17-year-old girl in South 24 Parganas district's Falta in West Bengal last month.
It was said that the girl and her father have lodged a police complaint in the Falta police station following the incident. The girl has also undergone a medical test
The child rights body said the police is "inactive in the case". Meanwhile, BJP's state Vice-President JP Majumdar called it a "false case", stating Roy is contesting against CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek. The EC, in the meanwhile, is yet to take a decision on the matter.
