BJP Chief Amit Shah takes on Mamata Banerjee!
Reacting to a video which showed Mamata Banerjee stopping her car and chasing some persons who were shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans, BJP chief Amit Shah said Lord Ram is a part of India’s culture and asked: “Can anybody stop people from taking his name?”.
BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday alleged that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee isn't allowing people to chant 'Jai Shri Ram' in the state. He questioned, "If Shri Ram's name is not taken in India, will it be chanted in Pakistan?" He further said, "Lord Ram is part of the culture of India...Can anybody stop people from taking his name?"
Speaking at an election rally here, Amit Shah said that polls in West Bengal are for restoring democracy in the state, where the BJP will win “more than 23 seats” out of the total 42 Lok Sabha seats.
Later Amit Shah responded on Rahul’s comments over Modi. As Modi took former PM, Rajiv Gandhi’s name and termed as corrupt No:1, Rahul Gandhi said that Modi is insulting his father’s name has no guts to face him. “Rahul baba says his father has been insulted. Is it an insult to be reminded of what had happened?” Shah said.
