BJP party legislators decide stage protest at Vidhana Soudha
The BJP party has sought Governor Vajubhai Vala’s political doubt following by 14 MLAs resignations and withdrawal of support to the government by two independent candidates.
BJP State General Secretary Arvind Limbaavali stated the high-level delegation of the party would meet the Governor to seek his intervention and to convince him that the coalition government has lost the majority.
He said the staged protest at the Mahatma Gandhi Statue on the Vidhana Soudha premises demanding CM HDK’s resignation. He also expressed the party also meet Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar and appeal to him to take a call on accepting the resignations as early the legislature meeting is starting in a few days.
Meantime the BJP again called for a meeting to take stock of developments. The sources said the meeting is a flock-keeping exercise to keep a tab on the movement of its legislators to prevent them from being wooed by the coalition. This is the third time that the BJP legislature party is meeting in the last three days.
