BJP stages protest for CM’s resignation
Criticizing the State government’s judgment on selling government land to Jindal company and what they called as anti-farmer policies, candidates of the BJP staged a protest.
They staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner office at Dharwad, the protesting party sources claimed that the coalition government was selling the government land at a cheap price to a company which had robbed natural resources in Ballari district and was involved in illegal mining.
The opponents claimed that the alliance government is working against the interests of farmers and the people and the new one was selling 3,367 acres of land in Ballari district at a reasonable cost of Rs 1.22 lakh per acre.
They stated that those were in the government, including the CM, had received payments from the company which was involved in illegal mining and demanded CM’s resignation.
Expressing that the loan waiver scheme of the alliance cabinet was another trick being played on the farmers, they allege that the alliance government of cheating farmers in the name of the loan waiver scheme. They alleged the State government of taking the money credited into the bank accounts of farmers after the Lok Sabha elections failure.
The protesters have submitted a report to the district administration asking the government to quickly withdraw its judgment to sell land to Jindal Steel.
