BJP state president and opposition leader BS Yeddyurappa tore into CM H D Kumaraswamy, arguing that he used up Rs 12 crore on his Programme of Gama Vastavya at Chandarki in Yadgir district.
“You spent Rs 1.22 crore on your one-day stay in Chandaraki, including expenses on the dining and luxurious stay for you and your officials”, D S Yeddyurappa said at the booklet released, Grama Yastavya, Shoonya Saadane (village stay), Zero Achievement).
“I’ve been informed that you spent another Rs 1 crore on your stay in Aregudda in Raichur”, he stated. “You should be ashamed of yourself for the lavish spending on your village stays”.
CMO officers denied BSY claims. “The deputy commissioner had planned the launch of several infrastructure projects in the village and it appears that (Yeddyurappa) said the costs for these events to expense on the village stay,”) officers said.
BSY had asked questions for the CM including,” Do you have answers for the deaths of 1,500 farmers who committed suicide while you spent 13 months in Taj West End hotel?: and “what happened to the Rs 48,000-crore farm-loan water promise.”
