BJP Tamil Nadu chief’s post for Ex-minister frontrunner
Tamilisai Sounderarajan appointment as Governor of Telangana State focuses on vacant BJP state president post. While the former AIADMK minister Nainar Nagendran has joined in the BJP in the year of 2017. He was vice-president for the party-state unit.
Nagendran has defeated in the Lok Sabha elections by the difference of one lakh majority. While the party cadres stated that BJP’s senior leader of Karnataka and new national general secretary B L Santhosh has recommenced the party candidature. After the Tamilisai exit, the BJP has rolled out a Tamil Nadu blueprint with a new candidate at the helm.
Meanwhile, BJP secretaries R Srinivasan from Madurai, and also Swadeshi Jagran Manch and KT Raghavan, including BJP’s Tamil Nadu general secretary Vanathi Srinivasan have also competed for the post.
The senior BJP leader said, “Old-timers like Pon Radhakrishnan and CP Radhakrishnan are likely to facilitate the appointment of a new and young face.”
Actor Rajinikanth said BJP hopes to be part of a “formidable front,” as a leader put it, for the assembly elections of 2021. Meanwhile, the former AIADMK leader for Tirunelveli Nagendran said he was “impressed by the leadership qualities of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
