Bollywood actors and International leaders condole the demise of Sushma Swaraj
 
After the demise of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday night, actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, 'A very sad news!' 'A very strong politician, a sociable person, a wonderful spokesperson. Prayer for peace of soul,' he added. Several other Bollywood personalities including Javed Akhtar, Anupam Kher, and Riteish Deshmukh also paid tribute to her on social media.
 
The Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry on Wednesday also condoled the demise of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who passed away yesterday. It stated, "We express our sincere condolences to the people of India on the premature passing away of the former Foreign Minister of this friendly country."
 
Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said, "Deeply shocked to learn of the passing away of Sushma Swaraj, a senior political leader of India". Oli added, "Heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the Government and people of India as well as to the bereaved family members."
 
The Rajya Sabha, along with Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, paid tribute to the late External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday. "In her untimely demise, the nation has lost an able administrator, an effective parliamentarian and a true voice of people," Naidu said.
 
Naidu even said Swaraj was "like my sister and used to call me Anna". "Every year on Rakshabandhan she used to tie rakhi on my hand," he added. Naidu, along with Rajya Sabha members, also paid tribute to the veteran BJP leader before adjourning the House sine die.
 
The last rites of Sushma Swaraj will be conducted at 3 pm today with full state honours at Delhi's Lodhi Road crematorium. "Her mortal remains will be kept at her house till 11 am and will be taken to BJP headquarters at 12 pm where it will be kept for 3 hours for party workers and leaders to pay tributes, BJP Working President JP Nadda has said. "Her loss is irreparable and the void left by her can never be filled," added BJP working president.
