West Indies batting legend Brian Lara has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after he complained of chest pain. Lara is in India as an expert for a sports network for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Lara has been admitted to Global Hospital in Parel. As per the media reports hospital is expected to issue a statement shortly. The former cricketer complained of chest pain and underwent angiography.
Brian Lara, who turned 50 on May 2, is one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history. He holds the record for the highest individual score, an unbeaten 501 and is the only man to score 400 in a Test match.
Lara played 131 Tests and 299 ODIs for West Indies from 1990 to 2007.
