Case filed against Ex-BJP MLA to rape Daughter-in-law

The Delhi Police submitted a case against former BJP MLA Manoj Shokeen. The police said that on the night of December 31, 2018, and January 1, this year on Saturday, reportedly raping and threatening his daughter-in-law at gunpoint.
 
The victim approached the police on Thursday. She registered FIR against the Manoj Shokeen, the former MLA from Nangloi Assembly seat. The victim in her complaint allegedly left her maternal home along with her spouse, brother, and a friend on December 31, 2018, and went to her in-laws home in the Meera Bagh region, according to police.

The victim said that some of her families were already there to celebrate New Year's Event when they arrived at the hotel. After the party, they walked around 12.30 a.m. to their in-law's house in Meera Bagh. January 1st. Her husband came out to sleep with his mates. She also that her father-in-law requested her to open the door as he wished to speak with her at around 1.30 a.m.
 
After he entered her room, he started touching her inappropriately. After that, she told him to go to bed when he was drunk. When she attempted to raise an alarm, he took out his weapon, slapped her and threatened to kill my brother. He subsequently overcame her and raped her.
