No wonder why everyone says Chandra Babu Naidu can’t be underestimated even he looks a bit backward in these pre-poll surveys. His strategies are really out of reach for normal people and politicians. This all about his luring the journalists ahead of the crucial assembly polls. The AP cabinet chaired by CM Naidu which met in Amaravathi on Wednesday approved the allotment of 30 acres to journalists. The 30-acre land price has been fixed at a dead cheap price of just Rs 10 lakh per acre, while the same land in open market fetches more than Rs 5 crore per acre.
Through this, Babu is confident that journalists will work in the favour of the TDP in the upcoming elections and get positive coverage for Naidu’s party and play a vital role if TDP manages to retain power. Even the open market price of these lands is 150 crores, Naidu gave them for just 3 crores. Including that he provided the relaxation of paying the entire amount in three installments. Journalists housing society will be handed over 30 acres immediately if they pay Rs 1 crore.
They have the benefit to pay the remaining 2 crores in two years. Each and every journalist is expected to get 150 sq.yards to 175 sq.yards plot each. In Amaravathi, a square yard costs over Rs 20,000 at present. That means everyone will acquire the property worth 30 to 35 lakhs for just 2 lakhs. Let's see how much it would favour TDP.
