Chandrababu Naidu’s open letter to Modi
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has released an open letter in which he pushed the buttons against the Modi’s visit to Visakhapatnam on Friday. He fired Modi with 17 questions including fulfilling the bifurcating assurances and cheating the people of Andhra Pradesh.
He even reacted over the announcement of Special Railway Zone to Visakhapatnam made by Piyush Goel, the Union Minister for Railways. “With this act, you cannot claim that a long-pending demand has been fulfilled. Abolishing a 172-year-old Waltair division, we will be now in a revenue loss of about Rs 6,500 crore,” Mr. Naidu added.
Chandrababu also asked if Modi is not ashamed to visit Andhra Pradesh empty-handed and that he owes an explanation to 5 crores of Telugu people. "I personally visited New Delhi 29 times and made numerous pleas to you, but to no avail. The Reorganisation Act came into being 59 months ago while PM Modi assumed the high office 57 months ago. What did his government do?” said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister has also posed questions on the burning issues pertaining to the State like Rs 360 crore that is yet to be released to the victims of HudHud cyclone, Polavaram project, accordance with Special Category Status, not releasing enough funds for the construction of the capital city, increase in the assembly constitutions and few more. He even accused Modi of not extending support for international flight services from Vijayawada and Tirupati airports.
Once again, the Chief Minister and the party leaders will be wearing black shirts today to protest Modi's visit to Andhra Pradesh.
