Chandrababu’s government disburses Rs 1,348 worth schemes
Be it his experience or brilliance, Chandrababu Naidu surely knows how to take advantage of being in the government. On the verge of the assembly elections, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu showered benefits to the citizens of Andhra Pradesh. Starting with the farmers, DWCRA groups and self-help groups were announced with payments through respective schemes.
Fulfilling the election promise made, nearly 45 lakh farmers have received the payment of Rs. 3000 under ‘Annadata Sukhibhava scheme’. This rolled out as a matchless move, grabbing the votes of farmers who play a vital role in the Seemandhra region. According to the reports, the government has deposited nearly Rs 1,348 crore into the accounts of 44,96,128 farmers. The government also promised that the remaining would be covered in the next schedule in coming few days.
The final installment of the ‘Pasupu Kumkuma scheme’ which ensures the better living of women through self-help groups, will also be announced anytime soon which would benefit 97 lakh women from various DWCRA groups. The women from these groups remain a crucial vote bank.
While the party speculated that Election Commission would object this right before elections, it gave a clear go for this scheme as the government could complete the identification & verification of beneficiaries before the election notification. The AP government has started the process in the month of February by starting off with a deposit of Rs. 1000 each in the bank accounts of beneficiaries. This seems to be cleaver move, right before election notification, so that the Model Code of Conduct does to not interfere.
While YSRCP is making promises calling them ‘Navratnas’ and Jana Sena is attracting with the voter-friendly manifesto, TDP should be all hailed for taking the complete advantage of being in the ruling.
