Chidambaram’s arrest: DMK Stalin says it’s political vendetta and revenge
DMK president MK Stalin claimed the arrest of Union Minister P Chidambaram, 'It is a political vendetta and revenge,' he said.
Stalin stated, 'I condemn CBI officers to act of jumping over the compound wall of Chidambaram’s house in Delhi and arresting him when his anticipatory petition is pending with the Supreme Court which has to come up for hearing on Friday.”
Stalin also added that “When Chidambaram had appeared for the summons by the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate for nearly 20 times, what was the need for the officials to jump over the compound wall?” He said.
While CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan also condemns that “If some mistakes had happened when he was in power, cases can be filed, and it is wrong in it. But there are ways to deal with them. There was no need for the CBI to arrest him, especially by scaling the compound wall,” he expressed.
